Pulse count is a purchasing decision as much as a clinical one. At 200 REP this is the smallest allocation among the C1 face tips listed here, which makes it the sensible unit for a shorter facial protocol, for single-area work, or for a practice that would rather buy pulses in small increments than carry a larger tip through a quiet month.
What the C1 face tip does
The 3.0cm2 C1 is a membrane tip restricted to the face and neck. It spreads less volumetric bulk heat than the other membrane tips in the Thermage line, which is why it is directed at problematic facial skin, and it works to a 2.4 mm heating depth. Radiofrequency pulses carry heat into dermal tissue to tighten it and to stimulate the growth of collagen fibre; results from a single session are given as one to two years. The tip has no vibration function and is compatible with all systems.
Sold sealed and single use through Solta Medical, next to the deeper-working Thermage 3.0cm2 DC Body Tip 1200 REP.
