Most clinics running Thermage on the face settle on the middle pulse count, and 400 REP is that middle: allocation enough for a standard face and neck protocol without the outlay of the 900 REP tip, and more headroom than the 200 REP reference gives a fuller treatment plan.
Mechanically all three are the same C1 membrane tip. A 3.0cm2 treatment area, restricted to face and neck, spreading less volumetric bulk heating than the other membrane tips in the range and reaching 2.4 mm. Heat carried by radiofrequency pulses into the dermis tightens the tissue and stimulates the growth of collagen fibre, and a single session is described as holding for one to two years. There is no vibration function on this tip and it will run on any Thermage system, which keeps it useful for practices with more than one platform in the building.
One tip per pack, sealed and single use. It sits in the Solta Medical listings with the other consumables, including the periorbital Thermage 0.25cm2 ST Eye Tip 450 REP.
